UV Inkjet production capacity more than doubled thanks to second Anapurna system at Arteo
Recently the Warsaw-based company Arteo Design and Production has purchased a new, Anapurna M2050i wide-format printer, enabling direct printing on rigid and flexible media up to 2,05 m wide. It now accompanies Anapurna Mw, installed in the same company three years ago, significantly increasing Arteo’s UV inkjet print production capacity.
Arteo was established almost 20 years ago. It specializes in integrated projects for outdoor & indoor advertising, branding, POS production and car wrapping. It co-operates with leading brands from FMCG (fast moving customer goods), electronics and food industries. In the recent years Arteo has focused more and more on complex designs for retailers, discounts and service providers.
Tomasz Kacprzak, CEO of Arteo, explains:
“We have signed several significant agreements, including leading brands from coffee, discount and telecommunications industries. Such contracts typically include the design, production, delivery and assembly of different interior components made from substrates like composites, wood or metal. All such materials require a special processing and treatment, also in terms of printing. Therefore three years ago we invested in the first UV-based printer, which has been recently complemented by the second system. Anapurna M2050i has increased our inkjet production capacity in several dozens of percents”.
Arteo’s owner underlines that many very positive experiences with the Polish organization of Agfa Graphics have influenced on a final choice:
“We really appreciate high reliability of Agfa’s solution, as well as the very professional service offered by the company. For us, production stability is a key parameter that has to be guaranteed for this kind of printing systems. Our Anapurna Mw has never failed and we hope that newly installed Anapurna M2050i will be as reliable. Especially because it offers a series of improved functions and enables printing on wider substrates. Now we can directly print on full plates, which are 2,05m wide and longer than 3 meters. Using such solution in our equipment park, implies tat we also rely on the vendor and we think that Agfa Graphics is a partner of this kind. Despite our high trust and a great co-operation with the team of Agfa Graphics in Poland, we obviously surveyed the market of UV inkjet printing systems before a final decision, to have a full preview of available offers. Once again Agfa Graphics has proven to be the best one in its class”.
Anapurna M2050i is one of the best-selling large format UV printers from Anapurna M family in Poland. When compared to Anapurna Mw, it features the wider printing system, new print heads as well as dedicated Asanti workflow software to control the production process.
In case of Arteo, the new device will mainly be used for printing on rigid media. That is the consequence of the company decision to specialize in this type of finished products. However, the fact that Anapurna is a hybrid solution is considered an interesting option and it is the intention to more frequently use the “roll-to-roll” module as well. However at the moment both Anapurnas are completely booked for jobs requiring rigid media.
As mentioned before, Anapurna M2050i significantly increased Arteo’s production capacity in terms of UV-based inkjet printing. “It is in line with our dynamic growth,” says Tomasz Kacprzak. “After installing the first Agfa system, we expanded our production space from 2,5 thousand sq. meters to more than 4 thousand sq. meters. Each year we report very significant growth of operational result. As mentioned before, this is a direct effect of our strategic changes to mainly focus on complex interior design for companies in different market areas. Today contracts for international customers represent approx. 2-3% of our current sales, which we intend to grow with more international activity. We have already realized successful campaigns over the borders and we are now looking for a local partner interested in a co-operation to explore market’s potential”.
