Asanti StoreFront is a web-to-print solution that enables print buyers to upload files, personalize documents and order prints online. It is part of the sign & display services that Agfa Graphics hosts as a cloud service. This means you don’t have to worry about servers, bandwidth or web security and can focus on your business goals. Asanti StoreFront helps you expand your customer base and increase your revenue. This page provides a visual overview of its main features.

StoreFront allows you to create multiple stores. They can be either private or public stores.

  • A private store is password protected, so you control who gets access. Such a store can be set up for the creative agencies and resellers that you print for. It can also be created for one specific customer, such as a retail chain, event agency or banking group. This allows such companies to decentralize print purchases while retaining control over the print procurement process.
  • A public store is freely accessible to any web user, similar to other e-commerce shops. Such a store allows you to reach a wider audience but you’ll be competing head-on with every other vendor out there so online marketing and competitive pricing are key. This is easier for niche products than for general products like posters or roll-up banners.

Offer a wide range of products and services

StoreFront enables you to offer a diverse range of wide-format products and services.

The most popular are uploadable products. You can, for example, offer prints in sizes up to three by ten meters with various finishing options. When customers select this product in your store, they need to upload a JPG, TIFF or PDF file with the content they want printed. The built-in preflight engine can check, among others, the resolution of images and the presence of required fonts.

For corporate clients, especially in the retail market, customizable products can be a real boon. These allow your users to personalize a poster, display or other product. The starting point is an InDesign layout in which you indicate which areas can be customized. Certain content can be locked and you can set rules to make sure the end result respects corporate branding guidelines.

On-demand reprints and delivery from stock are, of course, also possible with Asanti StoreFront. You are not limited to print products and can sell mounting materials, elastic bands or maintenance products to offer customers a one-stop solution.

Your customers nowadays run multi-channel marketing campaigns. A store that you set up for printed advertising material can, of course, also contain downloadable digital editions or video content. Offering such additional services helps improve customer retention.

If your shop is geared towards resellers and design agencies, you can allow them to create quotes using your storefront. That way they can quickly discover what a group of products, including shipping, would cost. This way, your sales people can focus on hunting for new business and advising existing customers instead of wasting time creating quotes for standard products.

24/7 customer service

One of the key advantages of web-to-print is that it frees your customers to order whenever and wherever they want. You’re doing business 24/7, instead of being tied to your business hours. StoreFront keeps a copy of all order data, making it easy for your customers to reorder prints without having to upload files again or customize an online document. Within private stores, StoreFront lets you set up an approval cycle. This allows the management of a major customer to validate all the orders their personnel place before these orders are passed on to you. This is an added value for all your customers who decentralized their print purchases yet want to retain full control over the procurement process.

Managing and processing orders

Within the StoreCenter website, the dashboard shows incoming orders.

Clicking one of those orders takes you straight to the order details. StoreCenter automatically creates an order details page for production and a package slip that can be included with the shipped product. StoreFront also takes care of order and shipping confirmation emails as well as invoices.

StoreCenter displays a handy graph that shows store sales and provides access to an Excel spreadsheet with details of each order. In a store that was set up for a particular customer, its management can also access these data, allowing them to monitor the orders of their customers and track spending.

One of the key advantages of Asanti StoreFront is its integration with Asanti Production, the sign and display workflow that drives inkjet presses from Agfa Graphics and other suppliers. Store orders are automatically forwarded to the workflow. If one of your customers orders a set of posters on Sunday, the operator finds the job ready for output in Asanti Production on Monday.

This integration helps maintain tight deadlines, minimizes the risk of errors and avoids rekeying data. StoreFront can, however, also be configured to send order data to your FTP-site, if you are not (yet) an Asanti Production user.
