Agfa Graphics to Demo Anapurna Flatbed UV LED Printing System at Sign Expo Canada 2017

Print service providers can speak with Agfa technology experts for insight into getting the most from their software and hardware systems

Agfa Graphics will be demonstrating the Anapurna FB2540i LED wide-format UV inkjet printing system for the first time at Sign Expo Canada October 27-28 in booth #227. The popular Anapurna FB2540i LED features air-cooled UV LED lamps, providing a number of advantages including a wider applications scope, higher productivity and less power consumption.

The 6-colour plus white Anapurna FB2540i LED is a high-speed, UV-curable flatbed inkjet system which prints at speeds up to 96 m²/h (1,034 ft²/h) on a moving gantry flatbed. It is an ideal engine for both step-and-repeat work and for printing multiple jobs on differently sized media. Borderless printing avoids an extra finishing step, saving time and money. Thanks to the multilayer printing feature, the Anapurna FB2540i LED prints several colours and white ink layers in one run.

Powering the Anapurna FB2540i LED will be Asanti 3.0, Agfa Graphics’ wide-format workflow. Asanti empowers printer service providers (PSPs) to run more jobs efficiently with less effort. It optimizes and automates the preparation, production and finishing processes for display and signage output. This robust workflow integrates with third-party print equipment and streamlines production while offering reliable, predictable, high quality results. Asanti 3.0 delivers colour consistency and enhances brand communications across multiple printing devices.

“Our booth at Sign Expo tells the Agfa story quite well,” said Ruben Silva, Managing Director of Agfa Inc., Canada. “The Anapurna FB2540i LED, Asanti 3.0 and Duratex media showcase our unique wide-format systems approach of integrating and optimizing the engine, ink, media and workflow to produce the highest quality output with the least amount of ink. This expertise started 150 years ago when our founder invented colour dyes and photographic chemistries and our innovations continue today.”

In celebration of the company’s anniversary, the booth will showcase Agfa’s “150 Years of Innovation” cube. This out-of-the-box application setting features historical artwork from the archives produced with Agfa UV inkjet technology. The cube showcases the expertise and innovation from the earliest days of Agfa’s rich history. The goal is to inspire attendees about the unlimited creativity that is possible with wide-format.

Sign Expo Canada is being held October 27-28, 2017 at The International Centre Entrance 1 6900 Airport Road Mississauga, ON L4V 1E8. For more information, click here.
